Mike's Star Wars Campaign

Storming The Ship (Part3)
From Kal'Nin's Log

We killed the Sith on L Deck, LE-1T discovered that the turbo lift opens onto E Decks med bay, which we made use of. LE then he did his thing and received access to our target computer and readied our advancement to the next level. Rhynn Kehaar discovered the direction of 4 Dark Side disturbances and began leading the group in that direction. Out bound coms. were disabled long ago, we believe this is connected to the bacta tankess things with a cloudy blue liquid emanating the darkside. We entered into battle with two Sith and their cronies.

Storming The Ship (Part 2)
From Kal'Nin's Log

After clearing out G deck, which included Rhynn’s failed attempt on a Sith and Rook’s successful assault on the same Sith, we discovered that we would need to proceeded to decks L and E to access a computer systems that will enable us to access the Command Deck. We went for L and have cleared out most of the deck all that is left is a Sith.

Storming The Ship (Part 1)
From Kal'Nin

We all disembark. Gleb takes off on to do his thing, and the rest of us storm the ship.

The Dream
From Kal'Nin's Log

On our first night in Hyperspace we all shared a dream. In the dream The Grinning Wolf was destroyed. After the dream we found Rhynn Kehaar floating in the hall way between the crew quarters. He told us that this was what was to come.

When we got to the RV we just had to wait for the target ship to arrive. The plan being to attack until it launched fighters and then make a quick drop off of the landing party.

The plan was going well, we landed a few good blows and they launched the fighters. We landed and are preparing to send off the landing party into a busy hanger bay.

The Test
From Kal'Nin's Log

After being arrested we were taken to an old run down part of town, striped of our gear, and given prison jump suits. We were then placed in a cell.

After waiting around there for a while Rhynn Kehaar decided he’d had enough and walked through the cell wall into the neighboring empty cell. Not long after that the lights went out. The cell door dissipated and Gleb “Semyon” Vorotaev appeared. We went to get our gear and Rook took down a guard and was about to finish the job when his contact came out and told him to hold we had passed the test.

After a bit of negotiation a deal was struck and the Cap got plenty of upgrades for the ship. W would set out as soon as the ship was done.

A Bad Decision
From Rook's Log

After dividing up the credits from our latest job, we split up to do some shopping. The Captain decided to upgrade to a new ship. He ended up getting a new ship called The Grinning Wolf. It’s a decent upgrade from our current ship and will allow us to haul more cargo on a single trip.

Rhynn Kehaar reported back to the council everything we went through while at Malachor V. He was given new orders to investigate the fate of Reven and Malack.

Gleb “Semyon” Vorotaev was approached by his Republic handler about getting a team together to infiltrate a Sith ship and obtain some data from the ship. They wouldn’t give him specific details about the mission until he had his team assembled. So Gleb asked the rest of us if we would be interested in taking the job and we agreed to meet with his contact about the job.

So we went to his meeting, which happened to be in a run down warehouse district in the lower levels of Coruscant. Several of us wondered about the choice of meeting but went prepared for trouble. And Trouble we found.

We got to the meeting point and the time of the meet came and passed. I asked Gleb if it was normal for his contact to be late, and he said he was never late. With that I said we were leaving and we circled around to leave a different path than we came. And that is when we found him. Gleb’s contact was lying dead, a blaster bolt through his chest. We search the body but don’t find anything special.

Again we decided to leave, not wanting to be found carrying weapons standing over the corpse of a Republic Officer. Why we didn’t take the corpse with us or just call the authorities I don’t know, but that would have been the smart thing to do. Hell even just leaving without doing anything would have been smarter, but instead, Gleb did what he did. I don’t know his reasoning, maybe he thought, no body no murder to investigate, like I said I don’t know his reasoning. He just pulled out his disruptor pistol and vaporized the body right there. And then we left.

We didn’t get far before we saw large view screens reporting the murder of a Republic Officer, and video of him being disintegrated. By Gleb. Fuck.

We hurry up and try to make our way to the ship but we find the ship surrounded by Republic soldiers. Gleb manages to slip away in the crowd before we get too close, but the rest of us get caught up by the soldiers. They demand that we hand over our weapons and that we are under arrest. There are a few tense moments several of us refuse to turn our weapons over to them. But eventually we get them to stow our weapons on our ship and go with them to be questioned about the murder of a republic officer.

The Name of the Day

Crazy is the name of the day; we take out an interior blast door, attack ground troops, and collapse passages with ship weapons. After we take out the blast door we take out the Sith troops and the officer within. LE-1T sets about using the ships systems to efficiently steal from the ship, reap havoc on the Sith ship, and preparing it for our escape.

As we’re making our get away 2 Sith Battle Cruisers drop from hyperspace just as a Republic Battle Cruiser drops in. The Sith open fire on the Republic, both start deploying fighters. Rhynn Kehaar senses that the 2 new Sith ships are important to his mission. We make it out with a few close calls.

Once back at Coruscant the Capetian meets with his contact and sells off what we don’t claim as our own.

A Ship in the Rough
From Rook's Log

After our short delay we were back in hyperspace on our way to Malachor V and before long we were there. We had all heard about the battle and devastation that took place at Malachor V, but none of us were prepared for what we saw. Thousands of ships had been fighting over the planet when the world was destroyed, and by the looks of it nothing on or above the planet survived completely intact. Our jump landed us right on the outer edge of the debris field and Karael had to use his skills behind the controls to prevent us from colliding with the larger pieces of debris.

While surveying the debris field we picked up a distress signal from an escape pod. We moved in to investigate the pod and found that it was too damaged to risk docking with, so we instead brought it into the cargo hold. We proceeded with caution as the damage to the pod prevented us from being able to contact whoever was inside and opened the pod with weapons ready.

Inside was a human male, who stated his name was Gleb, he was armed but at our request left them in the pod when he came out. Looking at the pod more, we determined that it came from a Mandalorian ship, which set myself and Rhynn on guard. Further investigation reveals that the pod is from Mandalore the Ulitmates ship. I question Gleb about what he was doing on that ship. He states that he had a job to get on the ship and retrieve some information. He said that he was not working for the Mandos, we believe him but some of us still don’t trust him completely.

We continue through the debris field and find a lot of good items for salvage, some disabled droids, ship engine parts, and weapons being most of what we collect. While searching we come across a large ship that appears to be undamaged, though it is mostly powered down and no signs of life. The ship is a design that none of us recognize and there are no markings on the ship to signify its affiliation. Seeing additional chance for profit we decide to check it out and see if it is abandoned.

We move in and dock with the ship, its docking bay is open and an automated dock procedure brings us in for docking. Once docked, several droids move in and appear to be servicing the ship. There are several other ships in the docking bay, a couple of shuttles and half a dozen fighters. We recognize the fighters as Sith Interceptors, but despite this we decide to investigate further. There are no people in sight, only a bunch of maintenance and lifter droids working on the other ships.

We leave the ship to take a look around and see if we can’t find out more about this ship. We head to the main doors to the hanger were we see the droids are coming from. Along the way, LE-1T and Xavar stop and one of the shuttles that is being loaded by a lifter droid. Xavar tries to access the onboard computer but find the access is locked, he tries to gain access but initially fails and makes no additional attempts to access, in fear of setting of any security alarms.

Meanwhile, the rest of the group is going to check out the room off the hanger where the droids are. Getting close, we are able to spot some Sith soldiers stationed in the room. We take cover, hoping that we were not spotted. Gleb on the other hand, immediately activates his stealth generator and vanishes from sight.

Gleb proceeds to sneak into the room and access a computer terminal. His access is limited but he is able to pull up the repair logs for the work the droids have been doing. He sees that the there have been several other shuttles that have come and gone, besides the two that we saw in the hanger. With that he decides to head back to the rest of the group.

At the same time, LE-1T is working on disabling the turbo-lasers on the shuttles to prevent them from attacking us, if it comes to that. Immediately after finishing on the second shuttle, it takes off and crashes off to one side of the hanger doors, causing the atmo shield to flicker and the blast doors to start closing.

When the main blast doors start closing, the blast doors for the room Gleb was in also start to close. Gleb quickly flies through with his jet pack narrowly getting through before they clamp shut.

We all start rushing back to our ship to get out of here. As we are running, Sith soldiers start rushing out of other doors into the hanger. I cover our retreat opening fire on the Sith as they charge us. Several people get to the ship quickly only to find that the engines are disabled, next we find that the ship’s weapons are also disabled, preventing additional fire power support from the ship. The droids that we assumed were servicing our ship, were instead disabling it.

Rhynn and I are the last to make it to the ship. Rhynn uses his mastery of the force to throw one of the huge lifter droids into a group of Sith soldiers, taking them out of the fight. Other soldiers retaliate and concentrate fire on Rhynn and suddenly he isn’t looking so good. I tell him to head for the ship and I will cover him.

Meanwhile, LE and Gleb begin work on repairing the engines and weapons of the ship. Kal’Nin comes out to support me in fending off the on coming Sith. They must be greenies, because they can barely land a solid hit on either of us. It doesn’t take long and we have cleared the Sith that rushed out to us. At the same time we hear the ship’s engines start up. It’s time to go, so we rush back to the ship.

An Unexpected Hyperspace Drop
From Kal'Nin's Log

Word has reached Coruscant that the war is over. The Mandalorians suffered a major defeat at Malachor V, and it’s said that the destruction is unbelievable. We’ll soon find out, the Captain says he’s worked out an excellent deal for salvage work there.

It looks like we won’t be making the trip on our own. Captain acquired a new droid, thank the Stars Rook’s repair work has been scary and costly. It looks like the Jedi are also interested in what exactly happened out there, as Jedi Rhynn Kehaar will be joining us on this trip.

The journey is under way, should be a quick trip.

Something wasn’t right, LE-1T claimed that tools were moving about the ship, and Rook was hearing foot steps in the night. When added with the enigmatic power draws that had been seen it appeared that we had a stow away. The Captain ordered a search of the ship.

LE-1T headed for the engine room to see if he could figure out where the intruder was hiding based off of where the power was being drawn. The rest of the crew started a systematic search of the ship in the hopes of flushing out the intruder.

The search proved fruitless until we reached the engine room, and found LE-1T powered off. Rook and I went for our weapons at the same time, and found ourselves in the dark with the familiar lurch of dropping out of hyperspace.

Rook produced a light and drew blaster fire, Rhynn Kehaar used the force to throw loose tools at our attacker and disabled its stealth field. This left a set of glowing red optics for me to train my cannon on. And that was that.

Then the ship came under fire, this was going worse than last time. The Captain and I ran to the cockpit, leaving LE-1T to Rook so LE-1T could get to the engines. Once in the cockpit we found 3 capital ships, one was pulling us in on a tractor beam. The Cap’ did his thing and we were running, things were slowly coming back. LE was back up but focusing on another issue, and sent Rook and Rhynn to the escape pods. One of them was welded shut. They started in on that while the Cap kept us running and LE ran down what needed fixed, the hyperdrive and weapons; and we were being caroled toward a forest moon. No time for a jump.

LE got weapons up just in time to fend of the fighters that were coming in. We took a torpedo hit in atmo, but the Cap’ got us in and found a safe place to touch down. The quick run down was that the droid was an HK. It killed the hyperdrive, cut the weapons (LE hacked them together), took sub-light down on a timer, set both escape pods to launch on a timer (we lost one, the other was planned to go after we peirced the hull trying to get into it. LE kept it from launching) and loaded a bug into our computer. LE, Rook, and the Cap set to work. Ryhnn and I setup outside.

After a few hours we were up and moving. And running. All we had to do was break the gravity well before we got caught. It was close but we made the jump, and had to come out fast. The bug got into the nav system. Another hour and we were able to get going again.
